ABOUT
Rainbow Sparrow was founded by author and illustrator Susan Mills, who has dedicated her life to advocating for her son and others with exceptionalities. She also founded a nonprofit organization called My Autism Tribe, based in Lexington, KY. The organization supports families and educates communities about autism.
Susan’s passion for creating healthy conversations around exceptionalities led her to create the DinoSprout Educational Book Series, a collection of stories that children, parents, and educators can enjoy together. Each book in the series features lovable dinosaurs that teach valuable life lessons about diversity, inclusion, and self-acceptance. We believe that every child deserves to see themselves represented in the stories they read. That’s why our books feature diverse characters with a range of exceptionalities, such as anxiety, ADHD, food allergies, and autism.
Our books are conversation starters that can help families and educators embrace differences and celebrate diversity. Join us on this journey to create a world where everyone is included, accepted, and celebrated.
